watching television

that’s what my weekend is going to be filled with. CMT is doing a weekend marathon of the “Dukes of Hazzard,” “Dallas” and “Green Acres” so that’s what I’m going to be doing. I can do that while I do the laundry, box up clothes that are too small and go through my kitchen to get rid of things that we don’t need anymore.

I’ve decided to attempt and spend some time at Text Broker. I think that the shorter articles of 100 to 150 words there could possibly be done within a half hour even with interruptions. I’m going to start on that in the morning, or late tonight depending on whether or not I turn on the pot of coffee I set up for in the morning. It’s just the right temperature that the windows are open so there isn’t any electricity being used by the heating/cooling unit.

I’d love it if my light bill would post so I could make sure of the due date. The mail doesn’t run again until Monday? is that right? I have plans to update my blogs over the weekend. The refill for my ink cartridge should be here in the next two weeks. http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=workinga-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B003D7NSPG&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifrI hit the request payment button for $25 at Sidetick today, I can expect it in 15 business days. That’s not too bad it’ll come in toward the end of the month. My phone bill is due the 14th. I’ve got the money left for it. My minutes are continuing to roll over proving that while 400 minutes for $21.80 would be a good deal, I still need one with fewer roll over minutes so I don’t end up losing them in the end.

I’ve completely lost my thought so I’m gonna go away for now. I may write something else for today but I haven’t decided yet. That’s not the one I ordered but it’s close to the one I need next.

It’s Thursday and starting to feel like Monday

It feels like Monday. I should of just kicked the freaking yankee out at Halloween and left him kicked out. The bank account he over drew closed today and now he’s having a tantrum over the way I fry food. Idiotic moron. I do wish I’d never married either of my children’s fathers. They’re way to much trouble to raise.

On the other hand Theresa is doing great. She’s the bright spot of my days, it’s too bad I kept her father though. OK this is turning into a rant so I’ll be going.

I can almost see

Well, $80 something dollars later I can almost see. I finally got the frames for my glasses replaced. I was a bit irritated when I realized that if I’d had the time to call and check when they were first broken they would have still been under warranty and replaced for free. Oh well, that’s life. My next eye exam is due in March of 2011 and these frames are under a year warranty. I wonder what the chances are that they’ll be able to make new lens so I don’t have to buy frames again?

I think that I’ve got about $160 left to get gas and supplements without my pay figured into the equation. I’m gonna have to request the $25 from Sidetick and figure out something else for my tires and savings account. We have an auto loan to pay back this month. I think the New Year is gonna get off to a bumpy start but we’ll manage. I think the new stain remover I bought this morning works well. My clothes smell great even with just a couple spots treated.

I left my glasses case there when I went to replace the frames. I sent hubby to get it and they gave him a new case for me because mine wouldn’t close right. At least this pair will be safe. The damage to my eyes from wearing the wrong prescription may take a bit of time to correct. I can see the television from where I’m sitting though which is a plus for me! OK I’ll be going for now.

Pleasant Surprise!

Well, I paid the cable/Internet this morning. It was $56.93 for both instead of $79.51 because I ended up with a credit when I downgraded my Internet speed. I redid the budget after the adjustment and found that the bills alone are below $400 this month. That doesn’t include supplements and other items but it’s a good start! I can work from that!

I hit the request payment button at $55.85, less than I’d have liked but more than I thought I’d have. I can pay both phone bills with that in the event I can’t hit cash out again before the 15th. I’ve managed to earn $12 toward the next payout so far. That’s not bad for a little bit of work.

I have just over $31 at Sidetick. I’m still holding out to request payment at $200. I may settle for $50 so I can reopen my savings account without causing problems in the budget. I have $10 worth of gift cards to use at Amazon.com. I think I’ll go check to see if there is anything we need for under $10. I’ve got books on my Kindle application and a lot of paper backs that I haven’t read yet so I’m going to focus on finishing what I have before I read any more books.http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=workinga-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B001H53QDK&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr

I plan to review each and every one of them in an effort to earn something from the readings. I also bought a new stain remover today that I can review. Well, that’s about it so I’ll be going for now. I’ll update the other two blogs here later.

Forgetfulness

I just realized this afternoon as I was making peanut butter and raisin cookies on demand for my four year old that I forgot to make her birthday cake this year. I wasn’t happy about that but I’ve decided that I’m going to make it after the first of the year. It’ll be a surprise to her. I just need some cake mix, icing and some decorations along with one candle.

I have gone over the budget, packed up old clothes that are too small for all of us and starting thinking about what I want to accomplish during the New Year. I’m hoping that 2011 will go better than 2010 did. I have four days left of nothing to do but I choose to do. The 3rd of January we start back with our regular therapy and the 10th my youngest goes back to preschool. I found one school holiday in January I just won’t know if it’s a therapy holiday until later in the month.

I have to redo the financial aid papers for ABA therapy soon. At least I think that I do. I’m wondering when I’ll have to start over with the classes to keep the financial aid again. Once a month an extra trip to the clinic. I’m hoping that I can afford to make the four that are required of the six.

I need to make some candles while I’m off from the regular routine. There are some I need to be burning today. The house feels better when they’re burning. I’m going for now but I’ll be back with more mindless ramblings to bore, entertain you with.

Earnings for last of December

OK I figured up my earnings for the rest of the month. I have $55.08 plus a little bit more ad revenue coming from Helium’s second payday. That’ll cover both phone bills with $11.48 left after they are paid. My balance at Sidetick is $30.56, I could request the $25 payout which is the lowest and have it the first few weeks of January.

I”m trying to wait until I have $200 to request payout at Sidetick; it’s the largest amount you can request at once. That means I have to earn another $170.44 to get a balance of $200. That’s the money for my tires, or at least most of it by the time I can get them bought. I have to get two oil changes after the first of the year so it’s time to start looking around for specials. I still have to have the antifreeze put in my radiator.

My auto insurance bill came in today due the 3rd. It can be there by the 16th and be fine, they’ll just send a cancellation notice. I know how much my light bill is thanks to budget billing but I don’t know when it’s due thanks to the holiday.

There are only four days left of my vacation. I’ve worked a few of them but mostly I took time off just because I never do.

The appointment that wasn’t

Yesterday morning I got up at 5:30 to give myself time to have a cup of coffee, etc before I got Theresa up. Well, there wasn’t any running water and a cat let himself in through the vent. I thought the pipes were frozen and hoped nothing would bust. Wrong. The pump had cut itself off in the night, nice and expensive to repair or replace since I have no idea how to do either. Well of course the morning went on, Theresa got up and dressed, pretended to eat breakfast etc.

Well, when we went to leave I realized I didn’t have time to defrost the windows. So I’m out side in the cold without a coat while Theresa sits in the back seat as the truck warms up waiting on me to scrap the ice off my windows. I didn’t do a very good job and I noticed that my windshield had a crack all the way across in front of the lower half on the drivers side now instead of just a little chip from where the rock flew up and hit it. Fast forward we leave and I get down the road a bit before I decide that I have to stop and clean the windshield some more because I can’t see.

Well, windshield is clean and we’re on our way. Until I start to smell something and realize smoke is coming in through the gear shift. So we pull into a parking lot and call home. Hubby calls the office we’re going to and leaves a message with the answering service. About 15 minutes after we’re supposed to be there the same office calls to see if we’re on our way because they didn’t see the message yet. Work that out and wait on hubby with feet freezing. He locks himself out of the house before he can come check on us. Lovely.

Finally we get home go and go through rescheduling before discovering that the woman we were supposed to see decides she can use someone else’s results to draw her conclusions so we don’t have to wait so long for the results. Now I’m trying to get rid of things that no longer fit, are broken and I just don’t want to have less to do and save some money.

OK I’ve got articles in my head so I’m going to be going for now but I’ll be back to update the other two blogs later today. Some antifreeze would have saved me a lot of headache, remember to check yours! http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=workinga-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B000GKTYNI&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr

Interesting and hopefully quiet the rest of the day

OK so I cancelled the pest control service $33 saved. I downgraded my Internet to the economy, it’s a little slower but it’s only $24.95 a month. I left the cable alone at $55.50 a month. They did away with extended basic and the next one down is about $15 a month for channels 2-13 that I could pick up with an antenna. The new bill will be $72.95 before taxes with the $15 discount that runs through July. That’s more than the special that I have now but the end bill will be less than this end bill. The regular bill before taxes on these is $87.95 a month. There went the money saved on pest control. I’m going to check into prepaid Internet and eventually cut the cable off as soon as I find the shows I want to watch online and on DVD.

I’m looking for pre-paid Internet because while I work from home my time online has been reduced as I write more and more offline. I spend a couple hours a day online which isn’t bad. OK I’m going to see what else I can do. I’ll feel the savings from the cable when it’s not $120 before taxes at the end of the special. I’m off to see how to pre-pay my Internet bill without a phone line in the house and look at alternatives to cable television while still watching shows that I love. OK I’m gone.

Not looking Good

Well, I just called to cancel my pest control service because I can’t afford $33 a month anymore. My other half is off taking out a title loan. Not the best idea but we don’t have a choice, it’s the only way we can get a loan and I don’t want to overdraw my bank account. I need antifreeze for my truck and some in his car. My truck overheated this morning because apparently the thermostat was frozen shut. Theresa and I were on the way to a testing appointment for her which we’re still trying to reschedule. Nice huh?

As soon as the Doctor’s office calls me back I’m calling and reducing the cable and Internet since it’s a bundle. That way I keep my ability to work and some television channels since we need an outdoor antenna that the hook up seems to have disappeared to in order to watch television without cable. Gotta love the new digital signals, they cost more than they’re worth. I’m thinking downgrade the Internet to a slower speed and put the cable to expanded basic, limited basic is too basic to pay for just local channels. We’ll see as soon as I find the rate sheet.

OK I’m going now.http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=workinga-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B0027FGW3K&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr
